The power just came back on. For three grueling hours, a storm knocked out our electricity. Once the kids were in bed, Teresa and I had to find something to pass the time. Yes, the batteries on our laptops worked, but the DSL modem and the wireless router sadly don't have backup batteries, so unless I'm willing to spring for a UPS (Think "big power strip with a bigger backup battery.")--and I'm not--on these rare occasions, we have to rough it.  read more »
