You can still get these features now (though less elegantly) via free open-source software, but for those who don't want to deal with setup and want it all in one place, Apple is not just taking on Microsoft Exchange. In many ways, this is what the iPhone should've been when launched. I know that's easy to say, and the iPhone did revolutionize the mobile industry, but it's good to see these long-awaited features. And keep the new phone price in mind when buying any other phone. $200 is very competitive and should knock the price of other phones much lower. In fact, before you renew or begin a contract, look at what they're offering you, how much savings you get, and decide whether it's really worth it.
