Canon has it figured out

Tags:

We've had a Canon PowerShot S1IS for a couple years now and love it, but lately, the images have been turning purple on us. So I called Canon tech support, since there's a product advisory, and it sounds like this is a manufacture defect, so we should be able to get a free replacement.

I got the "all representatives are busy" message, but instead of making me sit on hold for 20 minutes, it had me enter my phone number and speak my name, and they would just call me back when I'm next in line. Is this brilliant or what? It's really a win-win situation. I don't have to sit on hold for "12-20 minutes", and they save money on their toll-free number. I wish more companies would implement this system.

Less than 10 minutes later, they called me back, and I was connected immediately. We're sending it in for either a free repair or an upgrade.

This is really a very clever

This is really a very clever idea indeed..!I hope all companies try this system ..!
